The substrate directly affects the quality of pre-painted corrugated sheets. This is because the painting and profiling process has little impact on the mechanical properties of steel. We mainly employ GI and Al-Zn coated steel (GL) as substrates. By comparison, PPGL corrugated sheet is more heat-corrosion resistant, that is more suitable for severe environments. The affordable PPGI sheet is also durable enough for general use.
Commonly, the thickness of the roof and wall is 0.4-1.6mm, and 0.1-1 mm for ceilings. While if being used as a bearing wall or silo, it should be with a thickness of 2-3 mm or above. Also, there are different designs and wave heights to choose from. But please note that it doesn’t mean the thicker the metal, the better the quality. You should choose upon your needs.

Its hardness, heat resistance, durability, chalking resistance, and color retention are good, and medium cost. But the flexibility is poor so that it is not suitable for forming process. Generally, it is widely used in roofs and exterior walls. Its service life can be as long as 10-12 years.
HDP is of excellent color retention and ultraviolet resistance, excellent durability and chalking resistance, good adhesion, and rich colours, which is regarded as a cost-effective coating. PVDF is expensive and it has limited colour. But it is of excellent color retention, UV resistance, durability, and chalking resistance. Also, its formability and dirty resistance are good.
